The Cobb School in Simsbury, Connecticut proudly graduated eight students in its 38^th spring since the school’s inception.  Its annual Recognition Ceremony celebrated its students who have completed what is known as a “cycle” in the Montessori lexicon.  Children who successfully finished their three years in Primary (children ages 2.5 through 6) or Lower Elementary (grades 1 through 3) are honored for their achievement.  The grandest celebration, however, centers on the graduating 6^th graders who have worked hard and led nobly.  This crowning year is a formative one, and every 6^th grader echoes this truth. 

Cobb’s mission statement – Believe, Guide, Step Aside, Let Fly – manifests itself in its children now prepared for their various middle school experiences.  This year’s graduates are heading to Henry James, Litchfield Intermediate, Renbrook and Ethel Walker.  In years past Cobb has sent students to Avon Middle, Canton Middle, Kingswood Oxford, Watkinson and other area schools.  The Cobb School is proud of its graduates and pleased to watch them “fly” when their time comes.  Graduation speaker and Cobb alumnus Perry Wasserbauer shared in the collective pride of the Cobb School community and wished the graduates well on their next adventure.
