Did you know that 1 in 45 children will be homeless in MA
this year alone?  Horizons for Homeless Children partners with 26 family shelters in Southeastern, MA including Stoughton, to help children and their families.  They provide playrooms stocked with educationally and developmentally appropriate toys and materials.  They
also recruit, train and manage volunteers to play with the children for 2 hours a week for a minimum commitment of 6 months.  The volunteers provide social connections, educational play and ctivities that lead to self-esteem and self-confidence.  While volunteers are with the children, he
parents get a chance to look for housing, take classes and o what they need to et back on their feet.  Horizons for
