Canton firefighters responded to a car fire on Wednesday morning, helping to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby home.

The Canton Fire Department responded to a car fire in the driveway of 8 Osage Road at 10:56 a.m. on February 2, according to Canton Firefighter Brian Marshall.

"The car was located very close to the house and only the quick response of the Canton Fire Department kept the house from becoming involved in fire," Marshall said. 

The Canton Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire. There were no injuries reported, Marshall said.
