Canton High Sports Scoreboard: Bulldog Boys' Soccer Team Edges Sharon

A late goal gave the Canton High boys' soccer team a 2-1 win over Canton Monday night.

 

 

BOYS SOCCER-Canton evened its record at 3-3 with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over the rival Sharon Eagles, Monday night. Bart O'Brien got the winning goal with just three minutes left in the game. Michael Denehy scored the other goal on a penatly shot. The Eagles will be home Friday night to face Foxborough in a 6 p.m. game. FOOTBALL-The Canton High football team will be traveling to Attleboro Friday night for a 7 p.m. game against the Blue Bombardiers. After being tied at 15 after the first half, Abington outscored the Bulldogs, 14-0 in the second half for a 29-15 win at Canton Friday night. The Bulldogs got touchdowns from Ian Flavin, a 21-yard run, and a 28-yard pass to Elias Camacho in the first half. Dexter Green kicked an extra-point and ran for a two-point conversion.

FIELD HOCKEY-The Canton High field hockey team defeated Sharon, 3-0, Monday. Meg McKenna, Katie O'Brien and Alex Dillion netted scores for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs will be traveling to Foxborough Friday for a 3:30 p.m. match. 

GIRLS SOCCER-The Sharon High girls soccer team couldn't stop Lauren Berman as the senior scored three times in a 5-2 win in Sharon. Meg Lennon and Brianna Duserick had the other scores. The Bulldogs will be at Foxborough Friday for a 3:30 p.m. contest.

CROSS-COUNTY-The Canton High boys' and girls' cross-country teams will be playing traveling to Milford Tuesday for a 3:45 p.m. meet. The Bulldog girls' post their first win over Foxborough, Monday, while the Bulldog boys' team lost to the Warriors.

VOLLEYBALL-The Oliver Ames volleyball team proved to be no match for the Bulldogs, who defeated them, 3-1, Monday. The Bulldogs won 25-12, 27-25, 21-25 and 25-13. Abbey Willis and Kim Frazier had big days for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs will have a huge non-league match Thursday when Division 1 power North Quincy visits CHS for a 5:15 p.m. match.

The Canton High football team lost to Abington, 29-15, Friday night in Canton to fall to 1-1 on the season.
