Hugh A. Carney, of Canton, died recently on Oct. 31, according to CurrentObituary.com.
Born in Boston, Carney was raised in Dorchester. Hugh was the former President of Thypin Steel of New England located in Wilmington. He was the founder of Titanium Service Center of New England in Canton.
Prior to retiring, Carney was a salesman for Maclean Steel in Quincy. He also worked for Industrial Stainless Steel in Cambridge and at the Codman Square Theatre in Dorchester.
Devoted husband to the late Mary P. (McLaughlin) Carney. Loving father of Hugh A. Carney Jr. of Canton, Brian J. Carney and his wife Anne of Kingston, Maureen B. Hampe and her husband Stephen of Easton, Colleen P. Piscitello and her husband Michael of Norwood, and the late Cecelia M. Carney. Brother of Russell Carney of Quincy. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
