Canton On Ice
Around town, the snow and ice the day after the Nor'easter created some gorgeous scenes.
Canton is thawing out a day after the Nor'easter hit the area with over a foot of snow. This afternoon, the snow and ice from the trees and wires were melting, creating some noisy driving down Washington Street and Route 138 as the snow pelted the rooftops of vehicles.
DPW plows were still out in force today cleaning up after the storm, including plowing out the Canton Police Department's parking lot. The Walgreen's parking lot still needed a good clearing, as the lot remained covered in snow and made for a slippery ride.
Parking was a bit tricky on Washington Street in front of the storefronts, as the snow piles took away portions of the prime spots. Although the wet, heavy snow made for sore backs, the beauty of the frozen ice sculptures could be seen all around town.
Thanks to our contributors who submitted their own frozen photos! If you have snow photos to share, email them to lisa.gentes@patch.com and we will feature them on Canton Patch.
