Canton Seniors Learn About New Library Technology

Speakers addressed new library technology at Orchard Cove in Canton.

Phillippe Saad, an associate at DiMella Shaffer Architects, joined Simmons College Professor Candy Schwartz, an expert on digital libraries, for a presentation at Orchard Cove, a Hebrew SeniorLife independent living community in Canton, on September 14. The speakers presented details on technology trends in libraries and how they impacted the redesign of the campus library.

The redesign is part of the campus renovation scheduled to be complete later this year. DiMella Shaffer Architects are the designers of the Orchard Cove renovation.

The event examined how new library technologies enhance lifelong learning, an important aspect of life in retirement to the current generation of media-savvy seniors.
