Car Struck Pedestrian in Canton Over Memorial Day Weekend

The accident caused minor injuries to the pedestrian.

 

A pedestrian walking along Route 138/Washington Street in Canton Sunday night was struck by a car. Canton Police and Fire departments responded to the accident around 10:30 p.m.

"We arrived to find one patient sitting on the side of the road," Canton Fire Lt. Tom Driscoll said. " The patient was immobilized on a long board to protect against spinal injuries and was then transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton."

Canton Police Lt. Helena Findlen said the victim had "no apparent life-threatening injuries."

The accdient occured in the vicinity of Route 138 and Royall Street, according to officials.
