Sure, fall's right around the corner, and for most communities throughout the Commonwealth that means a few things: foliage, back-to-school time and weekend football games.
But for Canton, there's something more on the way with a bit of musical flavor.
The Life is Good Festival is set to return to Canton on Sunday, Sept. 23, according to the Life is Good Festival webpage, and will feature performances by several renowned artists, including the following:
- Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds
- Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue
- Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings
- The Infamous Stringdusters
- Sarah Jarosz
- Orange Television
- Michael Franti & Spearhead
- Sara Bareilles
- Eric Hutchinson
- Ryan Montbleau Band
- Allen Stone
- Katie Herzig
- Muck and the Mires
- The Fresh Beat Band
- Dan Zanes and Friends
- Kidz Bop Kids
- Josh & the Jamtones
The two-day festival, which also serves as a fundraiser, will be held held at Prowse Farm in Canton.
The event will feature three stages of music, hands-on games, interactive arts activities and the "Good Kids" zone, or a haven for the top acts in kids entertainment.
One hundred percent of the funds raised and profits from the event will go towards the Life is Good Playmakers, which helps children overcome poverty, violence and illness.
