The 100th Anniversary of Messinger Field
A family day of fun and an old fashioned picnic in celebration of Messinger Field's 100th Anniversary.
The 100th Anniversary of Messinger Field took place on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with an old fashioned picnic and lots of family fun.
Hotdogs and hamburgers from Queen Anne's Catering on Rte. 138 in Canton and free popcorn and music provided by Caroline Titus who is keeping music a family traditon. Titus's father, Gary Titus, is a well-known disc jockey in the area.
Blow up jumping gyms, face painting and games were some of the activities. Some of the The Canton Fire Department were there passing out fire chief hats to all the kids who also got a turn sitting in the drivers seat of the Canton Fire Truck.
