For the first time in five years, the July 4th falls on a Wednesday, making holiday plans more complicated than usual. Those with a few more vacation days to use might decide to take the time before or after the holiday; others, perhaps wanting to save up those days for a future trip, are simply enjoying the mid-week break and hanging out with family and friends.
