Temple Beth Abraham in Canton Receives Commendation for Community Service

The Canton temple received praise from the Norfolk County Sheriff.

 

Temple Beth Abraham received a commendation from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for its efforts in supplying food and toiletries to the Canton Food Pantry.  

In 2011, the congregants of Temple Beth Abraham, led by the Social Action Committee, collected record amounts of much needed necessities for the those in our community that need assistance.

Michael G. Bellotti, sheriff of Norfolk County writes, “Congratulations and thank you for your outstanding efforts in gathering donations for the Canton Food Pantry.  The entire Temple Beth Abraham congregation deserves high praise for working so hard to help people in need.  The positive effects of your charitable endeavors cannot be overstated.” 

Temple Beth Abraham is grateful to have an active congregation that is committed to giving back to the Canton community.  

Lesley Shain, chairman of the Social Action Committee added, “I am so proud of my congregation.  We continue our year-long efforts to support our community through donations to the Canton Food Pantry, Family Table, Afghans for Our Troops and other organizations."
