Canton Week in Review: Life Is good Festival Brings a Big Crowd to Town

Political debates and Life is good highlight the week in Canton.

This weeks top stories:

The US Senate live debate between Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown on Thursday night brought in many comments.

Stark differences came out early and often between the two U.S. Senate candidates in their first debate, with disagreements on everything from tax policy, to job creation to women's rights.

Over and over during the Thursday debate on WBZ-TV, Warren chose to bring up Sen. Brown's voting record, and Brown chose to point out that Warren's plan would raise taxes on everyone and stifle job creation.

Life is good Festival at Prowse Farm was a huge success. It was a sold out event with all the money raised, going to a very worthy cause, to help impoverished children.

At Messinger Field the 100-year anniversary brought lots of families with picnic baskets, blankets, smiles and laughter.

The Ricky Shannon Field Day  which was held this year at the Galvin Middle School, bringing lots of families out.

And how about the McDonald's news? The world's biggest hamburger chain said recently that it will post calorie information on restaurant and drive-thru menus nationwide starting this past Monday.
