BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH-FAA flight route change could dramatically impact you and Town Canton

Hey Town Canton, you may have already seen this announcement from Senator Brian Joyce.  I felt it was important to be sure you did.   As a local realtor here in Canton, I know how this type of change can have an impact on quality of life and real estate values.  Lets make sure whatever changes or steps being taken do not have an adverse impact and are beneficial to all involved.

Dear Canton Neighbor,

The FAA has proposed a new departure route from Boston Logan International Airport that would fly directly over parts of Milton, Canton and Randolph, beginning on March 7th.  This flight path will have a significant adverse impact on the quality of life in the affected parts of Milton, Canton and Randolph.

After reviewing the FAA’s Draft Environmental Assessment, I believe that the FAA has not sufficiently considered environmental, noise and other nuisance factors.  Specifically, the environmental study does not fully account for the populations that would be affected by the noise and pollution produced.

For more information, you may wish to take a look at the following resources –

The FAA has provided the public a very short window for public input, setting a deadline of February 15th.  To have your concerns considered, please contact Ms. Terry English by email at: Terry.English@faa.gov

Best wishes,

Brian Joyce
