Canton's Summer Camps

Ready or not, summer is upon us.

Did it sneak up on you?  Are you still looking for a few things to keep your kids busy this summer?  Well, there are still some options open!

Here are just a few of the camps going on in Canton this summer:

  1. Canton Academy:  Run by the Canton Public Schools, Canton Academy offers a variety of enrichment programs that range from art classes to robotics and everything in between.  Programs vary by age and are for children entering grades 1-8. There are some programs still open but you need to sign up soon!
  2. Summer Music Camp:  The Canton Public Schools Performing Arts Department is once again offering a summer music camp from July 9 - July 19th.  They are offering a string program, concert band, jazz band and chorus programs.  Programs are available for students entering grades 4-9.  It's not too late to sign up!
  3. Summer Dance Camp:  The Hazel Boone Dance Studio is offering a variety of dance camps for children from ages 3 and up.  Programs are divided by age.  No experience necessary for younger students.  Camps are in August - just about that time when the kids start to get "bored."
  4. Canton Recreation Department:  The Town of Canton offers a wide variety of summer programs through the Recreation Department. Swimming lessons, Dolphins swim team, Day Camp, Sports Camp, Theater Camp and Playground Activities are just a few of the things lined up to keep your kids busy this summer.

While most kids (and adults) look forward to some down time, it's always nice to have one or two scheduled activities throughout the summer.  It's not too late to sign up for many of the activities listed above!

What are some of your favorite summer camps?  Be sure to add any that I have missed!
