No matter what the season, the Canton Food Pantry is always in need of your donations.
The Canton Food Pantry provides an invaluable service to many members of our community who are struggling. They rely on the donations and support from the Canton community. Luckily, the citizens of Canton always come through for them–as they do anytime they are asked for help.
The Food Pantry sends out a monthly email to its subscribers, letting them know what items they are most in need of for the current month. Each month they stress that all donations of any kind are always welcome. If you would like to get on the list you can email the food pantry and ask to be put on the list. I find it useful. The week that I receive the email, I put a few of the items on my shopping list for the week so that I remember. Then, after I sort my groceries, I can deliver the needed items to the Food Pantry.
For those who are not on the distribution list, I duplicate the list in a monthly blog post, although donations of any kind are always welcome. You can also subscribe the the Food Pantry Blog.
The Canton Food Pantry is relying on your donations this month for Thanksgiving.
Just think how many pies they would get if every family in Canton that had the ability donated one or two pies?
In addition to pies, they also seek donations of stuffing, gravy & cranberry sauce for their Thanksgiving meals. Thanksgiving Donations should be dropped off on the afternoon of Friday November 16th at the Canton High Cafeteria.
For regular donations this month, the Canton Food Pantry reports that they need the following:
