Tutors are needed for SOWMA&rsquo\;s afterschool programs in four Br ockton elementary schools beginning in January 2013. Tutoring times are Tuesday and Thursday\, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.\n \;\nEach SOWMA aftersc hool tutor helps an elementary school student overcome obstacles to lear ning and achieve his or her full educational potential. Tutors receive t raining in effective tutoring strategies and ongoing support from SOWMA& rsquo\;s professional staff. No prior experience is needed. A three mont h commitment is requested.\n \;\nEvery SOWMA volunteer tutor is requ ired to attend at least one orientation training session before working with a SOWMA student.
