Family Movie Night at the Canton Public Library

Join the Canton Public Library from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21 for "Family Movie Night."

From the Canton Public Library: "Put on your PJs, grab a pillow, and bring the whole family to the library to watch City of Ember! This is a free event sponsored by the Friends of the Canton Public Library. No registration required. Free popcorn and water will be provided."

CPR Training


The Canton Fire Department will be holding a CPR training event at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21 at the Canton Fire Station at 99 Revere St.

The CPR training "is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life."

The course, which is expected to last about 2 hours, is non-credentialed.

In Case You Missed It: Canton's Dave Foley Makes Name on Freshness at Foley's Backstreet Grille

Dave Foley first started Foley’s Backstreet Grille eight years ago, and said it was the best thing he ever did.

Foley was born and raised in Canton, and bought his location about a mile over the Stoughton-Canton border on Pearl Street in Stoughton. He said it’s great because he lives right down the street.
