Upcoming Canton Events Include Beer Fest, Rosh Hashanah Service, EMT Training

The news in and around Canton for Thursday, Sept. 5.

1. Thursday’s forecast is expected to be cloudy, then gradual clearing during the afternoon, with a high near 71, according to the National Weather Service.

 

2. The Temple Beth David of the South Shore in Canton will hold a 10:00 am.  service for the second day Rosh Hashanah on Friday.

3. The Blue Hills Brewery will hold their Oktoberfest on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 12-6 p.m. at the Irish Cultural Center on 200 New Boston Drive in Canton. 

4. Anyone looking to become an EMT can take training courses this Fall at the Canton Fire Department. The EMT training program runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings from Sept. 10 to Dec. 19.

5. The Canton Police Department is partnering with the American Red Cross and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to hold a blood drive in memory of the victims of 9/11. The drive will be held Friday, Sept. 6 at the Canton Library, just five days before the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
