5 Things Jan 3: Special Event at the Canton Public Library tonight with Author Ted Burbank

After school catch a new film or you can go bowling over at Legacy Place.

1. The Mass Audubon Visual Arts Center, 963 Washington Street offers a 124 acre wildlife sanctuary which you can explore walking the trails. There are art showings and a museum giftshop where you'll find an array of unique gifts, original art and much more. 'Nests, Eggs, Heartbreak and Beauty' will run through Jan 13. 2. After school how about bowling over at Kings Bowling Alley at the Legacy Place Mall in Dedham? 3. There is a School Committee Meeting tonight in the Distance Learning Lab at Canton High School.

4. FYI: Due to repairs to the Blue Hills Regional Technical School pool there will be no spring or summer 2013 swim programs.

5. There's a special event at the Canton Public Library tonight from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. It's entitled, 'How to eliminate utility bills and be paid $$ Instead.' Author of 'A Homeowners Complete Guide to Energy Independence', Ted Burbank, will walk you through the process that led to his 1970's colonial two story home attaining zero net energy status. It generated enough totally green energy to eliminate all of his utility and heating bills.
