"Boston Strong" Banners Missing From Canton Little League Fields

"Boston Strong" banners that were installed at all the Canton Little League baseball fields this season have gone missing, Lou Tarmy, President of Canton Little League and Girls Fast Pitch Softball, tells Canton Patch in an email.

The banners were made and displayed to support the victims of this year's Boston Marathon bombings.

"During the opening day parade we led our parade with one of these banners. We raised over a $1,000 that was donated towards the victims of the tragedy," Tarmy said.

But this week, "we sadly realized that someone had stolen these banners from Duggan, Ruane, Sullivan and Crawford Fields," Tarmy said.

Tarmy just wants the banners back, so they can be used again for future seasons.

"We are asking that these banners be returned to Canton Little League so that we may place them back on our fields next spring, and for years to come."

Tarmy added, "The banners can be returned to the 12 Bailey Court.  No questions will be asked.  We just want them back."
