King bought the winning prize - a $20 "Billion Dollar Bonanza" ticket - at 7-Eleven on Washington Street in Canton, which will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale of the ticket.

It'll be a very happy new year for one local lottery player.

Canton resident Larry King recently claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Billion Dollar Bonanza" instant game, according to a post on MassLottery.com on Dec. 24.

As a result of the win, King will receive the prize in annual payments of $50,000, less taxes, over the course of 20 years, according to the post. He told MassLottery that he may purchase a new vehicle with the winnings.

King bought the winning $20 "Billion Dollar Bonanza" ticket at 7-Eleven on Washington Street in Canton, which will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale of the ticket.
