Canton Week in Review: Gov. Patrick Live Chat, Orange Leaf Opens

This week, we featured a live chat with Gov. Deval Patrick. Find out what else happened in local news.

With the presidential election less than two months away, politics seem to be the main topic of conversation.

There were three polls taken showing Elizabeth Warren ahead of Senator Scott Brown recently, but not by much. Moreover, local Democrats recently said that Warren should focus on Brown as a Republican in order to win, while local Republicans said that Brown should focus on the economy. Brown and Warren  in Lowell.

A crowd pleasing event was the grand opening celebration for "Orange Leaf" at the Village Shoppes in Cobbs Corner. Hundreds of people waited in line for their free samples of yogurt, whose flavors change with the season.

Food recalls continued throughout the state this week, as a salmonella alert forced health officials to recall more nut spreads; a recall of Fresh Express hearts of romaine salad was also issued.
