Statewide Volunteer Day: Work for Wildlife

Connect with nature and have fun while helping our wildlife sanctuaries spruce up and get ready for spring.

6 Volunteers needed for Field Work--Help Battle the Invasive Plants project: Learn to identify the exotic invasive plant species found growing on the Visual Arts Center property, then help pull, dig, cut, and stack to remove the biggest offenders. This effort will help preserve the natural habitat.

1 Volunteer needed for Gardening for the Birds project: Help us clear our bird garden, hedge rows, and other garden beds of winter debris and prepare them for additional plantings. We'll be getting ready for spring with a garden spruce up including light weeding, pruning, and planting in our bird garden.
