5 Things, Sept. 18: CCOA, Selectmen Meetings

Also today: A gloomy forecast is in store; be sure to check out a portrait workshop in the Art and Activities Room at the Canton Public Library!

 

1. Showers are likely in Canton today, though mainly after 1 p.m. Patchy fog will reach the area before 8 a.m., with skies otherwise remaining mostly cloudy and temperatures reaching near 73 degrees, according to the National Weather Service

2. The CCOA, Senior Men's Club Meeting will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Canton Public Library; the meeting will be sponsored by the Council on the Aging. The speaker today will be Canton historian George Comeau.

3. The Canton Public Library has a portrait workshop in the Art and Activities Room with Susan Kelley, available from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Contact sko566@aol.com for more information.

4. The Canton Board of Selectmen Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. tonight. Be sure to check the current agenda before the meeting, which will be held at the Canton Town Hall's Salah Meeting Room.

5. Wednesday, Sept. 19 will mark Open House for Grades 2-5 at the Hansen Elementary School from 6-8 p.m., and at the JFK Elementary School for Grades 2-5 from 6-8 p.m.
