Get Out: A Canton Patch Weekend Guide for April 22-24

Find something fun and local to do this weekend.

The weekend will be here before you know it and there are lots of activities out there just waiting to be discovered. Whatever the weather, there is sure to be something fun to do around Canton.

“Going Batty! Build a Home For Bats!” Blue Hills Reservation is looking for people to build and "adopt" bat boxes. This program is open to folks ages 8 and up and no special carpentry experience or materials are needed to participate, everything will be provided. Bring Your Bunny Ears and Easter Basket to Pequitside Farm! The Town of Canton Recreation Department will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at Pequitside Farm on Saturday, April 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  A DJ will be there to add music to the festivities and refreshments will be available.

St. John the Evangelist Church Easter Sunday Masses Easter Sunday Masses will take place at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The Easter Bunny will also be making a special visit in the Mary Garden after the 9:30 a.m. Mass!

Easter Egg Hunt!  will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service. Eggs will contain candy, trinkets and dollar bills. The dollar bills will be collected and donated to the .

 TBA Brotherhood Pesach Breakfast The Brotherhood is hosting a Fried Matzo Contest at the TBA on Sunday, April 24 at 8:00 a.m. If you would like to participate, please contact Rick Gomolka rickgomolka@comcast.net for contest requirements and rules. The winning Fried Matzo recipe will be featured in the 9:30 a.m. Pesach Breakfast. Following the breakfast there will be  a discussion: "The Pharaoh of the Exodus" cosponsored by the Adult Education Team. Price: $5 suggested donation.
