Get Out: A Canton Patch Weekend Guide for September 17 - 18

Find something fun and local to do this weekend.

The weekend will be here before you know it and there are lots of activities out there just waiting to be discovered. Whatever the weather, there is sure to be something fun to do around Canton.

Dinner Theatre/Cabaret Temple Beth David presents a on Saturday, September 17, with dinner beginning at 6:15 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m. Dessert will be served after the show. The entertainment will include rock, folk, swing, blues, jazz, bossa nova, country and “whatever the heck they find fun and interesting."

Squeezebox Stompers at Open Book Coffeehouse  Come in for the lively Louisiana sounds of the Squeezebox Stompers on Saturday, September 17, at 7:30 p.m., in the . Enjoy the music as you sip hot coffee and nosh on delicious baked goods!  Admission: $9.

Fundraising Concert with Dread Sox and Skatana Check out the on Satuday, September 17, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., for some great music and support a worthy cause at the same time! Dred Sox and Skatana will be playing this fundraiser for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and there will be a live auction and raffles. Suggested Donation: Adults $10 / Students $5.

Seven Nations Performs at ICC Seven Nations will be in concert at the on Saturday, September 17, at 8:00 p.m.  This vibrant band plays Celtic music with a modern twist; they are sure to become one of your favorites. General Admission: $15, Members: $12.

Old Thyme Family Picnic with the Toe Jam Puppet Band Pack up the picnic basket and bring the family to the Pequitside Farm for a grand Old Thyme Family Picnic with free hot dogs and chips and fun with the on Sunday, September 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event will also feature a softball game, pie baking contest and lots of games.
