Pakeen Farm Begins its Christmas Tree Season

Pick your own tree from a number of varieties.

Pakeen Farm on Elm Street in Canton began it's Christmas Tree season over the weekend. Every year the Pakeen Farm invites area residents into their fields to pick out your perfect Christmas tree while taking in the brisk New England air and then joining them at the barn for hot cocoa.

Pakeen grows their own Choose & Cut Christmas Trees right there on the several acres that their farm has on Elm Street in Canton. Choose and Cut trees as well as Freshly Cut trees, wreaths, roping and other holiday decorations are available. Each tree is nurtured for over eight years before it is tall enough to sell. They have a number of varieties: Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir,Concolor Fir, Blue Spruce, White Spruce and Norway Spruce.

There are a  limited number of these "Choose & Cut" trees each Christmas season.

The Freshly Cut trees are premium-grade trees that are brought to Pakeen Farm from large Christmas tree farms located in northern New England, Canada and North Carolina. They seek the freshest, highest quality trees, and also maintain good relationships with the farms that they work with. This year, they will be selling two varieties:Premium BALSAM FIR and Premium FRASER FIR. The selection of these trees ranges in size from "Table Top" to nine feet tall. Priced by size, and range from $30-$90 each.
