Pet of the Week

Meet Douglas!

This week the Canton Animal Shelter didn't have any new pets up for adoption so we went to our neighbor, the APCSM Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts.

This little guy is named Douglas and he is a handsome boy! Douglas is 4-years- old and came to the shelter when his owner had to move and couldn't bring him along.

Douglas has a big personality and loves to play. Fuzzy mice are his favorites! He would do best in a one cat only household.

The Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts APCSM is a new non-profit organization that has formed to continue to serve the animals and people of the community.

The MSPCA's Metro-South Animal Care and Adoption Center is scheduled to close at the end of September; however, the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts is working closely with and has received endorsement from the MSPCA to continue animal sheltering in the area.

The shelter is located on the Easton/Brockton line in the building formerly housing the MSPCA.

The Mission of the APCSM is to operate an open admission animal care and adoption facility, with focus on prevention of cruelty to animals, education and outreach, low-cost spay/neuter programs and helping animals and people in the community.

There are many other cats besides Douglas who are available and in need of a home. You can go to their website APCSM and click on adoptions.
