The Blue Hills Montessori School collects toys for Toys for Tots

Each year The Blue Hills Montessori School chooses a different charity to give to over the holidays. This year they chose Toys for Tots.

'We contacted the State Police to join in on their Fill a Cruiser program. They sent over State Trooper Mike Szymanski and SGT. Brian Baldwin a Marine from Fort Dennis to help load up the cruiser with toys,' said Mary Timilty, office assistant at the Montessori school.

But, the cruiser was over flowing before the last class came out of the school building with their toy donations so Michelle Taylor, head of the Montessori School offered her van which also filled up quickly.

This year over 400 toys were donated from families in Canton, Sharon, Norwood, Dedham, Brockton, Randolph, Stoughton, Easton and Boston as well as the American Veterans Administration who donted over 60 toys.
