Safety Fair Returning to Canton

Safety fair coming to Canton for a fun and educational experience.

Canton is holding its annual Summer Fun and Safety Fair ,May 31, and promises to be a day of family fun.

The event is sponsored and organized by the board of health and members of the Canton Fire and Police Departments. Food will be provided.

The event is designed to be a day of fun and education at Pequitside Farm. It’s free to attend, and features many events including the Childhood ID program, which electronically scans fingerprints.

Children are also encouraged to take part in a program where if they participate in the many bike safety booths and demonstrations, they get stickers which they can redeem later for free bike helmets.

The Canton Department of Public Works will also park and open several of their trucks for children to explore and blast the loud horns for all the hear.

Events also include hay rides, sun safety, entertainment, fire safety, pool safety, pony rides, ticks and Lyme disease precaution, moon walk, learn the dangers of summer,
 medicine take-back and more.
