Summer is in Full Swing at the Ponkapoag Golf Course Jr. Golf Academy Camp

Ponkapoag Golf Course opened in 1936 in Canton. With summer upon us and many of our local Canton camps in full swing, what better place than The Ponkapoag Golf Course to host a variety of golf camps for kids ages 7 through high school?

Their Jr. Golf Academy Camp program started last week and runs Monday through Friday from 9am - 3pm. or 9:00 - 1:00 P.M. depending on your skill level and also how many hours you are available to learn the game.

For the high school students there is a three-day player development program at the end of the summer for students who are looking to perfect their game before the high school season starts.

There is also a three-day program offered Tuesday - Thursday from 9am- 1pm  and the same for the 7 and under age group from 9am - 1pm.

The kids learned putting this morning and were real troopers in the heat. Mickey Folan, director of instruction, had a cooler filled with water bottles for all of the kids.
