Things to do for Halloween This Weekend

The following is a list of Halloween events Saturday and Sunday in the local area.

Here are some local events to check out this weekend in the area. If you know of any other events, please add to the comment section.

CANTON-The Villages Shoppes in Canton are holding a family "Hocus Pocus" movie night, Saturday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. There will be free popcorn and apple cider under the stars.

CANTON-The Hidden Hotel is being held at 95 Washington St. in Canton on weekend nights for more information go to www.TheHiddenHotel.com.

SHARON- The Everwood Day Camp Third Annual Halloween Family Festival will be held Sunday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. It is a free event. The camp is located at 125 Lakeview St. There will be pumpkin painting, games, sports, moonwalks, horse drawn hay rides, face painting, rock climbing, magic shows by the amazing Todd Migliacci,  performances by the Flying High Frisbee Dogs,  plus an appearance by the Patriots' mascott, Pat Patriot. Food and drink will be available to purchase. This event will be followed by the Sharon Halloween Parade, starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.

SHARON-Moose Hill in Sharon is offering a Halloween Prowl. Discover the history of Halloween from a Druid and then encounter costumed characters as you are guided along a candle-lit trail.  After the hour-long guided walk, return to the Nature Center and enjoy a drink and treats at our campfire sing-a-long program. If you have come in the past, please note that the characters change every year. The fee per person is $9, children age three and younger are free. Saturday times: 5:30, 5:45, 6, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, and 8 p.m., Sunday times: 5:30, 5:45, 6, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7, 7:15, and 7:30 p.m.

FOXBOROUGH- Bass Pro Shops is hosting the Great Pumpkin Halloween Event until Wednesday, Oct. 31. There is trick or treating in the store and you can get a free photo in the Peanuts Pumpkin Patch. The Pumpkin Patch is open from noon-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Crafts and coloring will offer Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. There will be Apple Bobbing Saturday from 1-3 p.m. and a savenger hunt Sunday from 1-3 p.m.

FOXBOROUGH- There will be Halloween Trick and Treating Saturday, Oct. 27, at Patriot Place in Foxborough, starting at 2 p.m. at the Patriot Place Activity Center. All trick or treaters get a free Patriot Place Trick or Treat bag.

STOUGHTON -The 7-1-5 Haunted House at 715 Central St. at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are sold until 10 p.m. and cost $8. With over 50 live actors. There are more than 35 life size mannequins and animatronics, professional Lighting, sound, smoke and projection effects. 

STOUGHTON - Come walk the haunted halls of the Stoughton YMCA (445 Central St. in Stoughton) during its third annual Haunted House night. There will be haunted happenings in the center, as well as fun games and activities. Dress to impress the ghostly gang. Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase through Peppercorns Café. The event is geared for children ages 6-13 It takes place Friday, Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Cost is $5 per child (member price) and $8 per child (non-member price).

STOUGHTON - Cheng Du Restuarant in Stoughton (657 Washington St./Route 138) will be hosting a Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 8 p.m. until 12 a.m. Best costume wins a $25 gift card. Palm Readings for $10 from 8:50 p.m. until 10:50 p.m.

EASTON- The Super Spooky Spectacular will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at YMCA, 10 Barrows St., in Easton.  It is the YMCA's annual Halloween Party. The cost is $5 and the event is for ages 10 and under. There will be games, face painting, moonwalk, arts and crafts and other fun activities.

EASTON-There will be Halloween Tricks or Treats at the Village Shoppes, 285 Washington St., North Easton, starting at 11 a.m. This is a free event.

NORTON-Haunted Alliance on behalf of Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary is offerning R rated trail. This trail is not recommended for children. Parking for the R rated trail is at 23 Eddy St. The price for admission is $13. There will also be a child-friendly trail. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Age appropriate Halloween movies will be shown on the big outdoor screen. The trails will be open Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 18. Adult trail open 7-9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 7-9 p.m. Sundays. The kids' trail will be open 6-8 p.m.

ATTLEBORO-The Emerald Square Mall is hosting Kidgits Mall-O-Ween at 999 Washington St. The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. If you come dressed as in costume and if you're a Kidgits member you will have access to the scary craft area. Mall-wide trick-or-treating begins at 1 p.m. Candy is while supplies last. Participating stores will have a pumpkin sign in the window.

MANSFIELD- Mansfield Haunted Hallows is taking place at 401 Oakland St. and is staffed by Mansfield High student-volunteers. It is open from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 and the cost is $10. The latest ticket will be sold at 10 p.m.

DEDHAM-Truck or Treat will be held at Dedham Town Hall, 26 Bryant St., Saturday, Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. Come dressed in costome, trick or treat from cars decorated by local organizations. There will be activities for kids and food for sale with proceeds going to Dedham Food Pantry.

DEDHAM-Bamboo at 55 Ariadne Rd. will be hosting a mini-pumpkin drawing, Saturday, Oct. 27 at noon. There will be goodie bags for kids, mini pumpkin drawing contest, and a costume contest for both children and adults.

WALPOLE-The Walpole Recreation Department is hosting a Halloween Parade at Blackburn Hall at 10 a.m. and the cost is $5 per child. During the parade, there will be a costume contest and then kids can trick-or-treat at participating downtown businesses. After the parade, they  will host our Halloween party. There will be music, crafts, games, face painters and more back at Blackburn Hall. Prizes will be awarded at the party. Price includes admission to the parade and party. Each participant receives two free game tickets. Additional game tickets can be purchased during the party. If there is bad weather, the event will be held inside.
