Arlon Bennett to play Open Book Coffeehouse

Arlon Bennett is an Americana songsmith who writes songs that recall Harry Chapin and vintage James Taylor, but with an eloquence, honesty, and sense of humor all his own. In short, Arlon's music tells of the human experience by bringing past relationships back to life and giving life to the inanimate.

Bennett's latest CD Summer’s Voice was selected by Aquarian Weekly as one of the top ten record releases of 2007; and his song “Be the Change” came in as the 9th most played song on roots radio stations across America that year. It’s no wonder that Sing Out! magazine remarked “Damn, this guy can write.” Singer magazine wrote, “He is a singer/songwriter who brings you stories from unique perspectives, and draws you right in.” Simply stated, Arlon’s success is due to his honesty as a songwriter, sense of humor, and simplistic eloquence.
