Murder and Mystery Take Over the Canton Public Library Tonight

Tonight, the Canton Public Library transforms from Read and Write to Red and White!

We thought we had it under control, but when the lights go out and go home, the characters in your favorite books and DVDs have again escaped their confines and come out to play.

Tonight (Friday, November 4) there will once again, be a ! We ask all Canton citizens and their friends to come to the library and help solve the crime. Miss Marple and her team of detectives from Nick and Nora Charles from the Thin Man, to Quint from Jaws, to Wadworth from Clue, and those precocious kid sleuths, the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and Harry Potter–will try to discover who did it, how and why in just 90 minutes. Can you help them?   There’s a prize for the most accurate solution.

While our guests enjoy tasty red and white desserts, plus coffee or tea (or beer and wine from the cash bar,) they will question whichever characters pop out of their books and movies to try to solve the mystery. Beware, red herrings will lurk the stacks! But in the end, all will be explained.

To be part of the adventure, you must be over 21 to attend, buy your tickets at the Canton Public Library main desk ($20 includes entrance to the event plus those tasty desserts.) There will be a cash bar. If you want to be sure to go home with a prize, there will be a VERY Silent Auction. Some tickets may be available the night of the event, Friday, November 4.
