Barking Beauties: A Hair Salon for our Four Legged Friends

Cats and Dogs welcome to this local hot-spot for pets.

Barking Beauties, located at 635 Washinton St. in Canton, opened it's doors back in 2009. Owner Amy Deprisco has been an animal lover all of her life. She has a wonderful way with our four legged friends.

"Grooming your cat or dog helps your pets stay clean and helps with shedding," Deprisco said. "It gets the dead hair and undercoat out that can cause matting and overheating. Our general maintenance includes getting their nails trimmed, ears cleaned and teeth brushed. We also check for fleas and ticks. When they leave here they not only look better but feel better."

Today, Deprisco and her team had an assortment of cats and dogs. One long-haired, silver-shaded persian cat named Truffles came in and wasn't looking very happy. That cat left shaved in what is called a lion cut and was feeling much better.

A white bichon frise named Sasha got her summer clipping and left with tail wagging.
