Get an inside look at the local women's boutique located right around the corner at the Village Shoppes in Cobbs Corner.

Mission Clothing, a unique and intimate boutique located in Canton, offers residents from the area contemporary women's clothing and accessories.

"The goal of Mission is to give every customer who walks through the door, a personalized shopping experience," Owner Shoshanah Graupen said. "We are stylists and will help our customers put together the whole outfit from clothing to accessories."

Canton Patch sat down with Graupen to find out more about her store and background in the fashion business.

Canton Patch: How did you find this prime location in Cobbs Corner?

Shoshanah Graupen: About three months after I had my son, my father told me about a boutique in Canton that was for sale. To be honest, I was not really excited about the prospect of starting a new business with a newborn child, but with some gentle nudging from my father, we began the process.

Canton Patch: When did you open here at The Village Shoppes?

SG: In May of 2011 I became the owner of Romanza with the intent to completely renovate and change it and make it my own dream boutique that I had always kept tucked in the back of my mind. Soon after I changed the name to Mission and completely renovated the store. People always ask me why I chose Mission. The reason is that so many times when I would come across new clients one of the first words out of their mouth was, "I'm on a mission." I need a new dress or I cant find the right color shoes to go with this top. So it just fit.

It is my mission to give every single client who walks through the doors an amazing, intimate, and unique shopping experience. My staff are all trained stylists who are here to help you. It doesn't matter your size, age, or budget. Our goal is to help everyone walk out feeling good about themselves. That's the bottom line. Fashion should be fun and exciting and always a great experience. I want to sell you clothes that you feel great in, nothing less.

Canton Patch: Someone can still just come in to buy a top or a pair of earrings?

SG: It doesn't matter what your shape or size or budget. Whether your here for a top or a complete wardrobe over haul and styling session, we give everyone the same amount of time, energy, and respect. It's the most important thing to me and my staff to always sell our clients the exact right thing for them.

Canton Patch: What are some of your specialty items?

SG: At Mission we carry everything from jeans and tee shirts to amazing cocktail dresses. What do you need? A top for Saturday night to go with jeans?  A dress to wear to a wedding? Leggings and a sweater to wear while your running your errands? We have it all. Our size range is XS-XXL, 0 to 16.  I have clients in their late teens through their 70s. My clients come from all over but the majority come from Sharon, Canton, Easton, Stoughton, Norwood, Walpole, Newton, and Milton.

Canton Patch: Where are you from originally?

SG: I am from Stoughton originally, but moved to New York after I graduated from college. Fashion design and styling had always been my true passion so I moved to the center of the fashion world, New York.

Canton Patch: Where was your first job?

SG: I got my first job with Prada as a sales person and stylist. My career took off from there. I worked as a stylist, buyer, and manager for ETRO;  a personal shopper for Christian Dior;  a regional manager for Saks 5th Avenue; a personal shopper for the Americanna Shopping Center and a personal shopper and stylist as an independent.

Canton Patch: How long did you stay in New York?

SG: My career in New York spanned over 10 years. I worked with the top designers, boutiques and shopping centers in the country. It was a truly amazing experience. But, I always dreamed of taking the highest level of service and style that I gave to my clients in New York and bringing it to everyone. I got married, got pregnant with my son and moved back to Massachusettes to be closer to my family.
