Kevin Foley, a lifelong resident of Canton, former police officer and Disabled Veteran from serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, opens a gym in Canton.

You might remember Kevin Foley as Officer Foley from the Canton Police Force, where he served as a police officer seven years. He is also a lifelong resident of Canton and a Disabled Veteran from serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Foley recently left police work to follow his dream and focus on his passion of being a fitness guru.

He opened Crossfit Home Base on 960 Turnpike St. in Canton just a few weeks ago. Cross Fit is a new trend in group classes.

"My classes include olympic lifting, gymnastics, conditioning, help understanding nutrition as well as individualized training," said Foley. "I demo all of the work outs for my class and every day we focus on a different goal."

Foley's hope is to be a community based fitness center helping people achieve their goals. He offers five classes a day with a warm up, skill or strength training along with a work out of the day.
