Dedham Big & Tall Store Expanding Even Larger

Big guys of Canton, here's some good news.

Casual Male XL at the nearby Dedham Plaza will become an even larger store in December when it opens as Destination XL.

The new store will be operated  by Casual Male Retail Group, Inc, the same Canton based parent company that owns Casual Male XL.

Destination XL is a combination of the company’s two stores, the Casual Male XL and the company’s upscale Rochester store, Rochester Big & Tall and is expected to offer a more extensive assortment of men's large clothing, according to their company site.  

The store will offer a variety of brands including Reebok, Dockers, Levi's, Cutter & Buck and Nautica.  They have waste sizes as high as 72 and shirt sizes as large as 22 inches.

“This 'one-stop-shop' concept is designed to make the big & tall man's shopping experience more convenient and enjoyable,” its website stated.  “From value-priced private labels to high-end designer names, Destination XL offers thousands of styles in the widest range of sizes.”

The Dedham DXL's renovations are already underway.  It will be the second DXL in the state, with the other location at the Natick Mall.  A third location is planning to open in Peabody in December.
