Dirt Dawg Sports Announces Tryouts for Club Softball Program

Dirt Dawg Sports, a local baseballl and softball training facility, is looking for softball players at the 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U levels to compete in a club softball program.

in Canton isn’t just for ; the training facility also has softball programs, including a year-round club program at the 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U levels. 

Tryouts for this program will be held August 18 at the Dirt Dawgs facility.

Located in Canton at 40 Industrial Drive, Unit 3A (off Route 138, right over the Stoughton line), Dirt Dawg’s is owned by a trio of Stoughton residents - Don Connors, Rich Jasmin and T.J. Fisher.

The softball club program gives young athletes the opportunity to play at the highest level of softball, playing the best teams in New England, while offering preparation and skill-honing for high school and college aspirations.

It’s a year round program where athletes will work on their skills through the winter with coaches and have training/lessons in a state of the art facility.

In addition to a focus on overall softball skills, attention will also be paid to physical conditioning and nutritional regimen.

The tryout date for the program is Saturday, August 18 (at 40 Industrial Drive). Tryout fee is $10.

  • 10U         9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • 12U        11 a.m. - 12:30 a.m.
  • 14U        1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • 18U        3 p.m.  - 4:30 p.m.

The total cost is $1,000 per player, which includes a full-year membership and six tournaments, one national trip, full uniforms (home & away), helmets, a bat bag, 1-2 team practices per week at Dirt Dawgs, strength and conditioning, access to professional training and continued video analysis.

Players must attend tryout to be considered for one of the club softball teams.
