Reebok to Cut 65 Positions at Canton Headquarters

Reebok announced Tuesday that seven percent of their workforce at the headquarters in Canton are being eliminated.

Layoffs are going to be taking place at the Reebok International Ltd. headquarters in Canton. 

Reebok said Tuesday, according to a report in the Boston Globe, that they will be eliminating 65 positions or seven percent of the workforce in Canton. Worldwide, Reekok is eliminating 150 jobs, closing offices in Amsterdam and Hong Kong.

Reebok is owned by Adidas AG, a German-based compamy, who cut the 2015 sales forecast from $3.9 million to $2.6 million recently.

Losing the National Football League contract and the ongoing National Hockey League site wasn't a factor in the layoffs, according Reebok spokesman Dan Sarro, in the Boston Globe article.
