Canton Man Named to President's Circle, Bank of Canton

Steve Chu of Canton, Regional Lending Manager for Residential Mortgage at Bank of Canton, has been inducted into the President’s Circle at Bank of Canton.  As part of his recognition in this elite group, he has chosen NeighborWorks of Southern Mass (formerly Neighborhood Housing Services) for the bank to make a $500 contribution in his honor.

Chu selected NeighborWorks, because many of his clients have benefited from the nonprofit organization’s housing services, including first time home buyer seminars, financial education and housing counseling to various communities throughout the South Shore.

The President’s Circle is a new initiative at Bank of Canton encouraging exceptional performance in sales and rewarding staff members’ dedication to the bank’s success.  Chu, who began working at Bank of Canton in 1999, has shown dedication and success in securing special loans for first-time homebuyers, working with MassHousing and FHA programs as well as securing loans for second homes, investment properties, construction, and commercial real estate.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Bank of Canton for my work in helping first-time homebuyers, local businesses and individuals seeking a wide range of loans,” Chu said.  “We serve a diverse clientele in the residential and commercial markets, and I am privileged to work for a bank that pays attention to its customers’ individual needs and goes the extra mile to meet them.

“Since Steve Chu began working for us, he has enabled many people to become first-time homeowners as well as many businesses to expand and grow throughout the South Shore and Neponset Valley,” said Stephen P. Costello, President, Bank of Canton.  “As a community bank, we are proud to have him on our team.”

To select a member of the President’s Circle, the Senior Management Team at Bank of Canton reviews the nomination and evaluation forms submitted by managers, then chooses individuals for induction based on merit.  These individuals have the opportunity to interact with Senior Management and the Board of Directors as well as fellow top sales professionals.

Founded in 1835, Bank of Canton supports a wide range of nonprofit organizations throughout the Canton area.
