Canton Market Report: November 2011

In the hectic pace of , I am a little late posting my market statistics for November for Canton.

In November 2011, there were eight in Canton. The median price was $383,750.00. While this was double the number of single family homes sold in Canton in October 2011, it is still a seemingly low number. The late fall and winter months do traditionally slow down. So, let's take a look at how the real estate market in Canton has looked in November over the past five years.

The number of homes sold in November in Canton is not traditionally high, with the exception of 2009, as shown on the attached chart. Prices have obviously gone down from the high in 2006 but are starting an upward climb, as shown on the second chart attached. Only time will tell if the climb will continue.

For buyers looking to buy a single family home in Canton during the , the relatively low number of sales should help motivate Sellers to get their homes sold. The continued relatively low prices and continued historically low interest rates make it a good time to buy a home.
