Christmas Came Early to this Patch Blogger

Patch blogger wins tickets to a Patriots game.

Earlier this week, early Tuesday morning I was working, as usual.  I was on my computer, answering email, checking the MLS, blogging, tweeting and checking in on Facebook–personal and business. In my Facebook newsfeed, I saw a post from .

Imagine my surprise when I saw a post about their contest for tickets to the New England Patriots Game on Saturday December 24. The post said something like "Congratulations to Christine S of Canton for winning our drawing for Patriots tickets to this Saturday's game."

I wondered....could it be me?  I think I remember entering that contest but I could not be sure.  The post said that they would be emailing the winner.

So I waited patiently. Well, almost as patiently as a little kid waits for ! When no email arrived I commented on the post, saying I was "a" Christine S from Canton....could it be that I was the winner? They answered that they had left a message on the winner's phone.

My phone! Where was it? Oh yes....I had left it charging! I ran to get it and sure enough I WAS the Christine S of Canton who had won the tickets! (The email must have ended up as spam.)

Christmas had indeed come early!

It will mean some rearranging of Christmas preparations but how often does one win free tickets to a Pats game?

And, a big thank you to  for running this promotion! Make sure you become their fan on Facebook–you never know when there might be another contest. Remember to support the local merchants there too, not just during the , but throughout the year.
