CHS Drama Announces 2011-2012 Season
CHS Performing Arts Seniors say goodbye as next year's schedule is announced.
Performing Arts Department wrapped up the school year with its Annual Performing Arts Gala on Monday June 6.
The evening kicked off with a pot-luck dinner in the cafeteria, attended by students, parents and performing arts alumni. Following dinner, the event moved into the auditorium. The audience was treated to a montage, which blended all of the year's performances - , , the 24-Hour Plays and - into one hilarious skit. There was also an entertaining slide show that showed behind the scenes from this year's 24-Hour Plays.
The more serious side of the evening featured awards to graduating seniors who had performed in several CHS Drama productions over the past four years, along with moving performances by some of the graduating seniors. There was also the traditional tear-filled performance by the CHS Chorus and Alumni of "Seasons of Love" from Rent as a tribute to the seniors.
