Enjoy the Last Few Weeks of Summer, Canton!
A review of things to do with the remaining days of summer vacation.
The in Canton is not until September 6. That means there are three more weeks–plus a long weekend–to enjoy the summer before settling back into the fall routine.
Many and are winding down, with the camp counselors getting ready to head back to . Do not despair, there are still plenty of things going on to enjoy with your family.
Many families use some of these last few weeks for their summer vacation. With Canton being a relatively to the beaches of the South Shore and Cape Cod, there is still time to enjoy a few days at the beach. August days at are my favorite.

If a day trip to an amusement park is more of what you have in mind, it is just a little over an hour to the north to either Water Country in Portsmouth, N.H., or Canobie Lake Park in Salem, N.H. A slightly longer ride to the west will bring you to Six Flags New England in Springfield.
You don't enjoy a long car ride? Then hop on the commuter rail right in Canton and head into Boston. Take a Duck Boat tour of Boston, walk the Freedom Trail or check out Boston's great museums–The New England Aquarium, The Museum of Science, the Boston Children's Museum or the Museum of Fine Arts. You can
get free or discounted passes to these attractions from the . The library also offers passes to the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum, , The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Roger Williams Zoo. Canton is a short drive or train ride to all of these!

in Sharon. The Blue Hills offers a variety of recreation opportunities whether it is a hike up the , a visit to the or a visit to the beach at .
So while the local grocery store may have the Halloween Candy on display already, it is still summer! Enjoy the moment and savor these weeks at the end of summer vacation. Life goes by too quickly to rush ahead to the next season!
