Both home sales and home prices are up in Canton for January 2013.
From January 1, 2013 - January 31, 2013, there were 12 single family homes sold in Canton*, with a low price of $340,000 and a high of $730,000. The average sales price was $518,300. While January is not traditionally a busy month for real estate in Canton, the first chart attached shows that January 2013 sales are the highest they have been is the past five years. The most homes sales came in the $400,000 price range.
The average sales price for January 2013 is also up from 2012. The next chart shows that the average sales price for January has increased for the past two years.
The Canton real estate market is heating up. Added to the general increase in sales is the lack of inventory in the Canton Real Estate Market. Buyers who are looking to buy a home in Canton in 2013, the time to prepare is now. Make sure you have your mortgage preapproval and make sure you have a buyer agent to represent your interests and to help you plan your home buying strategy for 2013. For Sellers, Buyers are out there waiting for new inventory to hit the market.
