Canton Real Estate Market Report for May 2013
Canton's May home sales and home prices both increased over last year.
The busy spring real estate market continued into the month of May.
From May 1, 2013 - May 31, 2013, there were 16 single family homes sold in Canton*, with a low price of $121,000.00 and a high of $878,500.00. The average sales price was $465,406.00. The total number of sales in May 2013 is up from May 2012. The first two charts attached illustrate both the price breakdown for May 2013 sales as well as total number of sales during the month of May for the past five years.
Prices are also up over last year, although there is a little more fluctuation in average prices over year. The third chart attached shows home prices in Canton for the month of May over the past five years.
Well priced homes, in good condition and in a good location are moving quickly in the current market. Interest rates are still low, although they are inching upwards.
