Luce School Presents Robin Hood This Weekend

The Dean S. Luce Elementary School will perform "Robin Hood" this weekend.

The Luce School's 4th and 5th graders have been working hard.  Auditioning, practicing for months, memorizing lines, learning songs and dances. Final touches are being put on sets, costumes and props.  The big day is just about here.

This weekend, the Dean S. Luce Elementary School will present the classic tale of Robin Hood.

While each of the schools does a great job with their plays, the Luce School Play will always hold a special place in my heart because for six years I ran the play as the CAPT parent coordinator, working alongside a very talented and dedicated director.  It was definitely a labor of love.  I still feel a bit nostalgic when play time rolls around.  Now I can simply relax in the audience and enjoy the show.

The Luce School Play is a little different from the other two elementary schools in Canton in that theirs is a 4th and 5th grade play (not just a 5th grade play).  Personally I think that is great.  It gives the kids two opportunities to participate and provides them with more exposure to the performing arts.

Robin Hood will be presented by the Luce School 4th and 5th graders on Friday February 6th and Saturday February 7th at 7:00 pm at Canton High School's Morse Auditorium.

It is always a fun family event suitable for all ages.  I know from experience that the students, as well as all the adults involved have been working hard to make this show a success.  And, it is always a great performance.  So come on out and support the Luce School students and enjoy what is sure to be a memorable performance by Canton's talented students.

As always - Break a Leg to the Cast & Crew!
