5 Things, Sept. 17: School Closed for Rosh Hashanah

1. No school today for staff and students, it's the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah. High Holiday services at Temple Beth Abraham in Canton begin at 8:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., 10 a.m. at Temple Beth David.

2. The Fall C.S.A. shares at Pakeen Farm began on Sept. 6 and runs through Nov. 17. (Pro-rated shares are available for those signing up after Sept. 6.) 3. How about a little song or two? Join in at karaoke at the Canton Council on the Aging at 2 p.m. today. You don't have to be a professional, it's a fun way to spend an afternoon.

4. An informative meeting for all First Time Home Buyers will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Canton public library. Presented by Sovereign Bank for the Neighborhood Housing Authority. Location: Library Community Room.
